FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shoemaker Toy in Running for “Coolest Thing Made in Indiana” Contest

(Crown Point, IN, Dec. 17, 2021) An add-on to a classic toy fulfills children’s desires to re-shoe their barefoot dolls.

“Our DIY shoemaker rail is surely one of the Coolest Things Made in Indiana,” said Katharine Hadow, proprietor of Fashion Doll Studio in Crown Point, IN.

“A doll without heels is like a truck without wheels.”

“Girls tell me that they don’t enjoy their dolls as much when the shoes are missing—and the shoes are the first accessories that get lost.  Now they can replace missing shoes all by themselves.  What could be cooler?”

The patent-pending Fashion Doll Studio DIY shoemaker rail fits into toy extruders such as Hasbro®’s fun factory.  The dies in the rail enable children to extrude shoe soles compatible with Barbie®, made with modeling compound or air-dried clay.  Once the soles are dry, users can decorate them with uppers, from simple adhesive tape to fabrics, or even cool uppers made from potato chip bags and onion bags.

Fashion Doll Studio has applied for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Coolest Thing Made in Indiana contest.

“When the contest opens up in 2022, I encourage people around the world who appreciate manufacturing and innovation to vote for our product online,” said Hadow.  “Until then, order the DIY shoemaker rail at fashiondollstudio.com.”

Fashion Doll Studio is not affiliated with Barbie®, Mattel, Inc., or Hasbro®
